(excerpted, condensed, and amended from original document, Parent Handbook)
Hours of Operation
Arrival Front Porch/Patio Drop off 8:30AM -
Upon Arrival into the Classroom - Each child will have their temperature taken to assess wellness to attend class. All children must have a temperature under 100.0°F (per CDC, CDPH, and CCLD requirements) and no cold or flu symptoms. Children will wash and sanitize their hands before playing in the classroom.
Daily Departure 12noon & 3:30PM -
Calling In Sick/Vacation - If you are NOT going to be bringing your child to school, please call, message or email before 8:00am on the day of the absence to let us know. Due to Covid-19 we are required to know why your child will not be attending. We worry about you and your child when you do not call. If you are going on a Vacation and plan to be gone for several days please let us know as well.
Children Wearing Masks - CA Dept of Public Health has issued a bulletin that all children over 2 years of age attending a licensed childcare facility (in-home or center based) are strongly recommended (effective 3/12/22) to wear a mask. Therefore, all students are asked to please wear a mask while inside the classroom to reduce their chance of potential exposure Covid-19 virus. Students wearing face masks are highly supervised to ensure their safety and they are only worn during indoor classroom activities, not during napping, or eating meals. Adult teachers wear a face mask at all times around the students.
Covid-19 School Closure
In the event of a positive Covid-19 documented person:
Health and Sick Policy
All students and parents must have their health assessed at home daily to ensure all persons are well to be in group settings (whether that be work for parents or preschool for children).
Sick Persons:
Students with these symptoms may have COVID-19 and will need to stay home from preschool:
Everyone should stay home if they are sick and tested negative for covid-19 until:
At least 2 days (48 hours) have passed since fever stopped without the use of fever-reducing medications and improvement in additional symptoms of any kind. We have a zero tolerance for any symptoms that may mimic cold and flu, that includes cough and runny nose. Students with a cough or runny nose cannot attend.
Allergies - If a student has acute seasonal allergies (watery eyes and sneezing with or without nasal discharge) the parents must medicate the student on a daily allergy medication to alleviate the student's symptoms.
Absence due to Covid - Due to the widespread pandemic outbreak that will continue through 2022/2023, we cannot credit tuition during any future exposures and/or quarantines. Our goal is to provide the cleanest, most sanitary place for your child to attend. However we cannot predict a student will become sick in the future when they are not exhibiting symptoms at the time of attendance. Our tuition is highly competitive, and we must expect that timely tuition payments will be made regardless of unprecedented pandemic virus outbreaks that are completely out of our control. Please know we are doing everything within our power to keep all students healthy and safe from illness. We appreciate you understanding this challenging time.
