February Curriculum
For February’s Curriculum, will be focusing on Winter, Groundhog’s Day, Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, President’s Day, Valentine’s Day, Fairy Tales and Mother Goose, Kings, Queens, Castle, Dragons, Lunar New Year, and the continent of Asia. We will also have new songs to sing, books to read, and Valentine crafts and letter writing activities. Valentine’s Day Card Exchange 2/7 - 2/14 we will have all students bring in their Valentine Exchange Cards. Each day, at Morning circle, we will pick a few students to pass out their Valentine Cards so that each child gets an opportunity put them in the Valentine Bags we will be providing. On your child’s last day of the week, they will receive their Valentine Bag filled with Cards and Treats. By passing out the cards individually a few each day, it really helps each child have their own moment to pass them out, and much more enjoyable for all. February Information Update We will continue to remain focused on having all children remain healthy as we continue to move through the cold/flu season. Reminder- all children with fever, runny nose, chest congestion, cough, sore throat, vomiting and/or diarrhea cannot attend school and must remain home until they are symptom-free for a period of at least 48 hours if tested negative for Covid-19. If a child, or a member of their immediate household has tested positive for Covid-19, they must quarantine for a minimum of 5 days, re-testing on the 5th day to ensure they have a negative test before re-entry into the preschool environment and must be symptom-free. We must know immediately if a child tests positive for Covid-19 so we can alert the other families so they too can safeguard their loved ones. Our new fencing and gates have been installed in the front yard. All students and parents should enter and exit through the walkway arched gate in front of the sidewalk. The driveway side gate is locked and not for public entry. The arched gate will be unlocked during business hours, and will also be kept open 8:30am-9am, 11:45am-12pm, and 3:30pm-3:45pm for pickups and drop offs. My last semester at CSUS begins the first week of February. It is very important that all School Day students are picked up as close to 3:45pm as possible so I can maintain my commitments after the school day ends each day. Thank you for picking up on time. https://www.facebook.com/woodcreek.montessori.preschool February Curriculum Songs ~ Woodcreek Montessori I’m A Knight In Armor Sung to: “I’m a Little Teapot” I’m a Knight in armor, look at me See how shiny I can be.
