We will also have new songs to sing, books to read, and curriculum related painting and worksheets. Priority Registration March will be the month we will accept priority registration for continuing students for the Summer 2022 & 2022 - 2023 School year. Priority Registration will begin March 1st, and the last day to turn in your form in person or by e-mail is Friday, April 1, 2022. We will begin accepting new students for Summer 2022 & the 22-23 School Year in April and May based on availability. Dressing for the Weather/Playing Outside March is typically the month that the weather starts to get warmer and there are more opportunities for us to go outside. Going outside is calming, a way for children to decompress and regroup, and of course a time to socialize and discover creativity with their friends. The beauty of this time of year with all of the flowers and birds is amazing in our yard! All students should continue to wear long sleeves/long pants to protect their skin from mosquitos and to keep warm. We were very lucky to have an unseasonably warm February, but the windy/cold cloudy days will continue as we head through the Spring months. If it is not raining and not wet outside we will take the students out for fresh air and the opportunity to be in nature. We need all children to come to school with a coat, jacket, or sweatshirt; based upon the weather forecast. Please bring a backpack big enough to hold all of your child’s daily items. Shoes that are easy for your child to put on themselves are a fantastic choice, like crocs, rain boots that pull on, and velcro shoes. March Information Update Once the weather warms up a bit more we will begin opening the windows during the day to allow additional circulation of outside air. We continue to run our Dyson air filters in the classroom to draw out germs and impurities. Daylight savings will begin on 3/13, as we spring forward to embrace an extra hour of sunlight. Due to allergy season beginning, I recommend all children that are sneezing and/or showing signs of hay fever, to please take a daily children’s non-drowsy allergy medicine to help alleviate their symptoms. Mask Mandate Effective 3/12/22 masking of students over 2 years of age will move from "required" to "strongly recommended" per the California Department of Public Health. All teachers at WMS will continue to wear masks and continue all Covid-19 protocols to ensure the health and safety of the children. https://www.facebook.com/woodcreek.montessori.preschool March Curriculum Songs ~ Woodcreek Montessori School I’m a Little Leprechaun Sing to: “I’m a Little Teapot” I’m a little Leprechaun, Dressed in green.
